Micro needling After Treatment

First 24 hours: redness, minor swelling, in some cases possible spot bleeding
1-2 days: mild redness, reduced swelling, minor itching and tight sensation
3-4 days: potential slight dryness/tightness. Frequent use of moisturisers containing ceramides can work well to alleviate this
4-5 days: full recovery
Detailed post treatment guidelines will be given upon consultation but general guidelines include:
No additional products to be applied to skin post treatment other than products applied by therapist. This includes SPF and any mineral make up, although SPF and mineral make up may be applied the following day after treatment. The following day skin may be cleansed using tepid water and a gentle, non-acid cleanser.
Showering as opposed to bathing is preferable after treatment (tepid water on face only)
2-7 days following treatment, or as soon as comfortable to do so, clients may return to regular skincare products although alcohol-based products e.g. toners need to be avoided for 10-14 days.
Avoid touching, scratching or picking the skin (wash hands first before touching face)
Avoid friction on skin and excess heat (heavy exercise, sauna, steam room) until fully recovered
Avoid sun exposure and sunbeds during a course of professional treatments.
Total elimination of sun exposure and sunbed treatments is advised.
Apply SPF 30 min. product on a daily basis from the day after treatment onwards.
Reapply SPF 2-3 times per day if exposed to excess UV radiation.
In the unlikely event of any persistent redness or irritation occurring inform your skin therapist immediately
Exercise to be avoided on day of treatment.
Keep hydrated and keep skin moisturised
It is advisable to resume gently exfoliating skin (e.g. enzyme exfoliator) approx. 5-7 days after treatment depending upon how skin is recovering

Gelish Aftercare Advice How to get the best from your Gelish Nails...

  •  If you want regular treatments it is a good idea to book a series of appointments at once. Try and book these on the same day every two to three weeks.
  • Do not bite or pick your nails as this can lead to weakening or breakage of the nail and can cause damage or thinning to the natural nail.
  •  If you notice that your Gelish nail is lifting, do not pull or pick at it. If this happens return to the salon as soon as possible and let your nail technician decide if a repair is necessary. Do not ignore a lifting nail.
  • Wearing rubber gloves when washing up or doing cleaning jobs where bleaches and detergents are used will help to keep your nails looking freshly manicured for longer.
  • Avoid exposure too harsh cleaning chemicals such as cleaners and acetone based nail polish removers.  Suncream Etc ..These can start to break down the surface of Gelish and may cause lifting & staining and even colour loss.
  • Use the pads of your fingers rather than your nails for opening car doors, making the bed, etc.
  • If you are wearing a French or pale colour please be aware when using tanning products or similar products. You should wear gloves to prevent staining of the colour.
  • Avoid filing your nails as this will break the seal of the Gelish and can then cause the Gelish to peel.
  • Use Nourish Cuticle oil twice a day. It is enriched with oils to rehydrate and condition the natural nail plate and will NOT cause any lifting to your product. This should be massaged into your Gelish Nails as it will help to keep them flexible, prolong their life and reduce the risk of breakage.
Nourish Cuticle Oil is available to purchase from your Nail Technician.
Finally, take care of your nails! Remember to treat your nails like Jewels not Tools. By keeping to these points will help to ensure long lasting Gelish nails.
**Patch test required  prior to Tints and LVL lift**

Aftercare Instructions
  • Do not touch or rub your eyes, eyelashes or eyebrows immediately after the treatment.
  • Don't get eyes wet for 24 hrs.
  • If redness or irritation occurs, apply a cool damp cotton compress to the eye area. If symptoms persist for more than 24 hours seek medical advice.
  • The effects of the tint will start to diminish within 2-3 weeks as hair grows out and the tint color fades. Strong sunlight/UV light can make the tint color fade faster.
  • Avoid washing your hair, eyelids, eyelashes, eyebrows, or swimming for 24 hours, as these activities can cause the tint results to fade. Also avoid exfoliating facial cleansers. Those containing AHA’s or other chemical exfoliates may decrease the life of your tint. A gentle facial cleanser or eye makeup remover is recommended.
  • Do not apply makeup or mascara to lashes or receive any other eye treatments for at least 24 hours after the lash or brow tinting treatment.
  • Try to use oil-free facial products around the eye area to prolong the tint color.
  • You can receive the lash or brow tinting treatment every 3-4 weeks.
  • If you have any questions about your post-care, contact your salon/spa.

MASSAGE AFTERCARE
After your massage treatment, your body and mind are in a relaxed state. To ensure you receive maximum benefits from your treatment, it is recommended that you read and follow the aftercare advice sheet:

  • Avoid strenuous activity for the next 12 hours, to help your body relax and de-stress further.
  • Take time to do simple breathing exercise, for example the 4-7-8 breathing technique.
  • When sitting in front of a computer for longer than 20 minutes, stand up to stretch and gently warm up your joints. Fetch yourself a glass of water.
